SOCIAL ADAPTATION
SOCIAL ADAPTATION
If you want to realize your talents and aspirations to their fullest, professional skills alone may not be enough. It is their combination with your personal skills that do the job best. This is why our Cybersecurity professional development and reintegration program for ATO/JFO veterans “Cyberdefenders” gives all of its participants opportunities for both studying and personal development
Getting high-quality knowledge in one of the most in-demand jobs is a lot. But this may not be enough to make a transition from military service to civilian life as comfortable and efficient as possible. Mentoring and psychological support are also needed to develop the personality traits that will help you build a successful career in cybersecurity
With the help of professional experts, program participants will improve such skills like sociability, ability to react quickly in unusual situations, flexible thinking, creativity, etc. Such a harmonious combination of professional knowledge and personal qualities will be a significant advantage in employment
Social adaptation component of the Program consists of three distinct activities
Mentorship
the mentors are representatives of veterans' organizations and trade unions that have already successfully integrated back into civilian life and, like no others, know what difficulties and challenges may arise along the way. Peer-to-peer approach to mentorship allows you to be in a community of like-minded people and to effectively transform your life based on your peers’ experience
Psychosocial support
aimed at developing emotional intelligence and personal qualities you will need to work in cybersecurity
Career counseling
career guidance, assistance in creating an individual employment plan and writing a CV, preparation for an interview with a prospective employer, participation in informal events and industry meetings with potential employers
Each Program participant has a chance to seek an assistance from a mentor who will accompany and help them throughout the course
The Program includes both individual and group sessions with psychosocial support professionals and career counselors
