ABOUT PROGRAM
“Cyberdefenders” is a cybersecurity professional development and reintegration program for ATO/JFO veterans designed to provide them with new career and adaptation opportunities upon returning to civilian life after completing their duty in the Eastern Ukraine. Following an intensive training, program participants can pursue a career in cybersecurity and get a job that is both important for the society and crucial for our country’s security. The reintegration component of the program is provided through psychological support, mentorship, career advice and employment assistance
The program is designed by highly qualified American and Ukrainian cybersecurity experts and is implemented by the CRDF Global’s cybersecurity improvement program in Ukraine, Moldova, and Western Balkans implemented with the support of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Coordinator of U.S. Assistance to Europe and Eurasia and dedicated to preventing cyberattacks by building robust cyber infrastructures and strengthening cybersecurity workforces
MISSION
Providing the cybersecurity skillset and educational opportunities for ATO/JFO Veterans of the ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine, giving them new opportunities to reenter into cybersecurity careers, and access to employment in Government entities and Private companies
